Stefansson is a Fiba Champion and former Dallas Maverick who hails from Reykjavik. Jon currently plays professionally with Lottomatic Roma and is also a member of the Icelandic National Team. He won the Fiba EuroCup Title in 2005 with Saint Petersburg. Earlier this year Stefansson and his club pushed Chris Bosh and the Raptors to the limit in an NBA pre-season game (http://www.euroleague.net/item/15879). Stefansson currently resides in Iceland after the winter basketball season. The IBL would give a legit NBA level shooting guard the chance to play in front of his home country in Iceland.
