Unfortunately the Denver Nugget’s biggest moves this off season were to acquire Sonny Weems and resign Anthony Carter. That happened after landing Taurean Green in a blockbuster trade deadline deal in March. Wow, NBA Championship here they come. Seriously, I know they are in the luxury tax, but if they don’t move Camby and AI they will be sorry. Camby has a history of being fragile and AI is in the last year of his deal.

The Nuggets need youth, so I will discuss a few guys they should go after. They need to find guys that with blossom into roles this coming season. Two guys that come to mind are Brandon Bass and Javaris Crittenton. The Grizzlies have a glut of point guards, so they will be looking to make a deal. The Mavs would take AI or Camby and part with Brandon Bass. Marvin Williams is a guy the Hawks might be willing to give up for a guy like Marcus Camby. Camby would be great up front with Al Horford if the Hawks want to challenge the Celtics next season.

Bass put up 11.6 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game in the playoffs last year. He could do even more for the Nuggets next season as the starting power forward. The Hawks have a load of forwards, so if they are planning to bring back Childress and Smith they might part with Marvin Williams for a shot blocker. Marcus Williams could have a blow up year with the Nuggets as well if they dealt with the Nets. It’s time to deal Denver.
