Yes, it’s Christmas in July and the town of Los Angeles just got another present, but this time Denver sent it instead of Memphis. The Nuggets gave up Marcus Camby for a future 2nd round draft pick. Personally, I would have at least held out of a Snickers bar. Yes the Nuggets were in the luxury tax, but so were so many other teams. Even the Knicks wouldn’t give up Zach Randolph in that trade, but the Nuggets gave up the former defensive player of the year. Yea, those Nuggets sure are committed to winning. After that trade I would bet thousands of fans renewed their season tickets (not!).

The Nuggets still have KMart and Nene contract’s on the books, so it is not like they are going to land Lebron James in 2010 (like he’d come to Denver even if they had the money). Najera just signed with the Nets, and the only free agent the Nuggets have retained is Anthony Carter. NBA lottery here the Nuggets come.

The Nuggets are clearly in rebuild mode, so they better go out and get some young talent this summer. If they were in rebuild mode they should have used their first round draft pick on a guy like Donte Greene instead of trading it away. Yea, Donte Greene is the guy that dropped 40 in his first summer league game.

I suppose this is what I get for slamming the Nuggets for sitting on their hands. They decided to show me by giving away their starting center. What an accomplishment.
