OMT Official Undrafted Player List
I just wanted to let our readers know that the 2008 undrafted player list has been posted in our forums. Everyone is welcome to join the site to view the list and contribute your viewpoint on these players. Outside of this list I am sure we will develop a larger list of domestic players outside the NBA that are playing in the minor league system.
The PBL and CBA are the two leagues that we really need to scout the most. Having an OMT representative at these games to scout is vital to developing a list of talent to sign for the spring of 2009. Keeping a close eye on these leagues (and signing the best talent) will be key if we want to win the IBL Championship in 2009.
Outside of those leagues we may land a few NBDL players that aren’t going to take part in the NBA Summer League. Outside of that we will need to develop a list of domestic players playing overseas. Various leagues end at all different times in the spring, so coordinating these signing will be a challenge. Many great players will play in Europe through May, so we likely won’t go after them. However, those domestic players that had a losing season will finish early. Those players that we can sign in April will be of high interest.
Outside of domestic players we also need to develop a list of international players. Hopefully in future years we can even send a representative overseas from OMT to scout and make direct contact with these players. Without direct contact it is a bigger risk making a signing, but we will have video to look at.
