Kansas Jayhawks Basketball TeamThis years NCAA tournament featured its share of blowouts and less picture-perfect moments that’s for sure but the title game, WOW! I was glued to my recliner the entire game as the lead changed hands several times. In the end it wasn’t suppose to end this way for Memphis who had a decent lead in the final minutes of regulation.

In the blink of an eye, Super Mario Chambers saved a boring tournament. This game should go down as an instant ESPN classic and will you may have witnessed the game of a generation. Its been a long time since I’ve seen more bodies on the floor, diving and scrapping for every single possession the way these Jayhaws and Tigers did last night. These kids were playing as hard as humanly possible.

After the game in which the Jayhawks won 75-68, i couldn’t help but watch the players and what they do after the game. Did you see Darnell Jackson, holding his head between his hands? Reminded me of Tom Brady after his first Super Bowl Championship with the New England Patriots. Other kids, were running around hugging, climbing the stands looking for someone to celebrate with. Its this part of the game that I love to see, the pure emotion running wild. Its not about the money, its not about selfishness, its about your team, your school and pride.

For my money, this game ranks in the top three of all time.

What a great game!

What a game
