Player BiographyJamaal Williams is currently a free agent. Williams, a 6’6” 230 lb. small forward from the University of Washington, played in all 33 games averaging 13.8 ppg and 4.7 rebounds with a 49.6 field goal percentage. Williams was the high scorer coming off the bench with 27 points and seven rebounds in the NCAA Sweet 16 match-up against Connecticut. Season highlights include leading the Huskies to a 99-95 victory over Gonzaga with 22 points and seven rebounds, a 96-95 victory over Arizona with 22 points and seven rebounds and a 78-59 romp over Oregon with 20 points and six rebounds. In his junior season, Williams was ranked No. 3 among Pac-10 players with a 56.1 field goal percent accuracy, trailing Arizona State’s Ike Diogu and his teammate Brandon Roy. A graduate of Centennial High in Corona, California, Williams was a member of the Honor Roll all four years at Centennial with a 3.20 GPA. Additionally, he earned Academic All-MWC selection during his freshman year. Scouts tout is smooth mechanics and ball handling. His former Coach Lorenzo Ramar states "he has a real knack for putting the ball in the basket. He plays probably three inches taller than his actual size. He has a nose for the ball and knows how to put the ball in the basket. He's a pretty smart basketball player. Jamal is an Adrian Dantley, Mark Aguire type. They are forwards that are rugged and can really put points up on the board.
